ABOUT ADULT LEARNING

At The Cheadle & Marple College Network we believe that there’s always an opportunity to continue to grow through learning new things, trying new experiences and meeting new people.

That’s why we offer a wide range of both part-time and full-time courses which are specifically aimed at adults who want to gain an academic qualification, learn a new skill, discover a new hobby, boost their career prospects or simply broaden their horizons.

Some courses take just one day to complete and are for pleasure; some last between five and thirty weeks – offering a deeper understanding of your chosen subject; and some can take over a year, leading to a professional or academic accredited qualification.

It all comes down to what you want to study, where you want to study, how much time you want to invest in your personal development and what fits best with both your lifestyle and your aspirations.

ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION

No A Levels? No problem!

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university.

Access to HE courses are available in a range of different subjects, such as health, science, humanities, sport, and business.

If you’d like to study for a degree but don’t have the qualifications you need, then an Access to HE course could be for you.

Access to HE attracts a diverse range of students, and there’s no upper-age limit.
